A.Bevy was founded 10 years ago with a focus on hosting events in order to raise money to give scholarships to rising & current collegiate students across the state. Though many changes have occurred within our structure, we have never veered away from the “scholarship” being the end goal of any & all that we do.

The Katie Lee Johnson Scholarship, named in recognition of Steven K. Gantt’s great-grandmother whom segregation kept from secondary education, now allows A.Bevy to have a hand in the Ride Spring, Ward, and Monetta, SC communities in order to help show, push, & prove to our youth that through Change, Progression, & Growth… anything is possible. It’s our responsibility to reach down & make sure the future is better than the present & we at A.Bevy would like to thank Steven K. Gantt for his vision, purpose, & understanding of such shown by his will to give back to his alma mater.

The Katie Lee Johnson Scholarship goes to a graduating senior at Ridge Spring-Monetta High School. In 2018, the two recipients of the Katie Lee Johnson Scholarship were Ms. Rachel Burger who is attending Clemson University and Mr. Tyson Bettis who is attending Newberry College.
